Privacy Policy
Hidden Hunt is a hidden-object puzzle game by Mindazzle, operated by DataWave LTD (“we”, “us”), which is responsible for the personal data described here. We built the game to need as little about you as possible: there are no accounts, and we never ask for your name, email address, contacts or location. This page explains what the game does collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
| Data | What it is | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Gameplay events | Things like “level started”, “level completed” (with time and stars), “hint used” or “shop opened”, sent with a random ID the game creates on your device, the platform (Android, iOS or web) and the app version. | To understand which puzzles are too hard or too easy, and to fix problems. |
| Your save | Your progress (stars, unlocked levels, hints, settings), stored under a random save code shown in the game’s settings. | So you can carry on after reinstalling or on another device by entering the code. |
| Purchase records | Which in-app item you bought and the store’s transaction reference. Payment details are handled by Google Play or the App Store; we never see them. | To give you what you bought and restore it later. |
| Advertising data (apps only) | Google AdMob, which shows the ads in the Android and iOS apps, may collect your device’s advertising ID, IP address and ad interactions, according to the choices you make in the consent prompt. | To show ads, measure them, and, only if you allow it, personalise them. |
| Technical logs | Like any website or online service, our servers and providers receive your IP address and basic request details when the game downloads puzzles or saves progress. | To deliver the game, keep it secure and fix errors. |
The random device ID and save code are not linked to your name, email or any account, and we do not try to identify you.
Ads and your choices
- Before ads are shown, the apps ask for your consent where the law requires it (for example in the EEA and the UK), using Google’s consent tool. You can change your answer at any time under Settings → Ad privacy choices.
- On iPhone and iPad, iOS asks whether the app may track you across other companies’ apps and websites. If you choose “Ask App Not to Track”, ads are not personalised using your activity elsewhere.
- You can reset or limit your advertising ID in your device settings.
- Buying Remove Ads turns off the ads between levels and the banner. Watching an ad for free hints stays available, but only when you choose to.
- The web version shows no ads.
Google’s use of data is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Who processes the data
We use a small number of service providers to run the game:
- Google (AdMob ads, and Google Play for purchases on Android)
- Apple (App Store purchases on iOS)
- Amazon Web Services (delivers puzzle images)
- Cloudflare (website delivery and security)
- Our hosting provider, which runs the servers that store gameplay events and saves
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone else except where the law requires.
On your device
The game stores your progress, settings, the random device ID and a short queue of gameplay events on your device (in app storage, or in your browser’s local storage for the web version). Uninstalling the app, or clearing the site’s data in your browser, removes them. The web version uses no advertising or tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep gameplay events and saves only as long as we need them to run and improve the game, and we delete them on request (see below). Purchase records may be kept longer where the law requires.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data, or to object to how we use it. Because we don’t know who you are, include your save code (from Settings in the game) when you contact us, so we can find your data. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Hidden Hunt is suitable for all ages, but it is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
All data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access to our servers is restricted.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will also be announced in the game.
